Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring an active IL RN license and 1 year of telemetry experience.

Details

• PCU/telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Cardiac telemetry patient population including COPD, CAD, CHF, AFib, and sepsis cases
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Performs skills such as starting IVs, chest tube management, cardiac drip management, and bedside cardioversion

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response including rapid response/code team activation
• Navy scrubs required
• First time travelers accepted
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted
• Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6-month break before returning
