Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN with EP case experience for an acute care hospital in the Bryan/College Station, TX area.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma facility Cardiac Cath Lab
• Floats between two campuses, with a home base at the Bryan campus
• 4 cath labs with 3 typically running simultaneously
• Handles 5-15 cases per day, including EP cases such as ICD's, pacemakers, and ablations for A-Flutter, SVT, and A-Fib
• Performs peripheral and neuro cases; does not perform IR/specials procedures
• RNs circulate and monitor cases as part of a 3-person team including a scrub tech
• Uses a GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System for case monitoring
• MEDITECH EMR used for charting
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 0630-1500
• Call requirement of approximately 10-11 days per month including 1 weekend, with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pre or post-op experience preferred
• IR experience, including emergent stroke case experience, is helpful
• Copy of driver's license required at time of consideration, with legal name matching government-issued ID

Additional Information

• Provides care for cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patients
• All staff are cross-trained to monitor cases; RCIS and RT techs handle scrubbing duties
• Located in Bryan, TX, connected to College Station, home of Texas A&M, offering a college town atmosphere
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
• Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
