Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Hematology Oncology Clinic position requiring 2+ years of experience and ONS/ONCC certification.
Details
- Outpatient Hematology Oncology Clinic setting including infusion center care
- Cares for patients with ear/nose/throat cancers and lung cancer
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- Active RN license, NC or Compact, required in hand
- BLS and ONS/ONCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Care coordination and phlebotomy skills required
- 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care coordination for oncology patients in an outpatient and infusion setting
- Orientation sessions occur bi-weekly
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31-March 31) with no exemptions
- Candidates residing within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced bill rate
- Previous permanent employment with Duke University Health System must be disclosed and must not have occurred within the past 6 months

Unnecessarily strict policies when sick/injured; doctor notes are not accepted as an “excuse”, micromanagement, unprofessional leadership, bullying, favoritism and unfairness, not willing to train certain people in certain areas or approve certain people’s requests off , heavy workload and constantly being rushed, micromanaged, and distracted by gossip/drama while having to pay attention to detail, not willing to repair/replace certain functions.
