Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required Level I Trauma experience for a fast-paced radiology department.

Details

• CT Scan department within a Level I Trauma center
• Adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU patient populations
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• No call requirements
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS imaging system
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT(CT), ARRT(R), and BLS certifications required
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• VA state license required (license required if applicable); pending licenses accepted
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement preferred
• Experience performing abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac CT studies preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, and radiation safety practices

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac/vascular imaging
• May be required to float within clinical scope of practice as needed
• Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract
• 50-mile radius rule applies for this unit
• Previous UVA staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• Orientation includes up to 16 non-billable, specialty-specific training modules
• BSN preferred
