Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a specialty cardiac catheterization lab, requiring 18 months of recent cath lab experience and current AHA BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Adult and older adult patient population
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement
• May float within scope to sister facilities within a 20 mile radius
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Performs procedures including cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in cardiac cath lab specialty, 2 years preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• ARRT-R and CCI RCIS certification preferred
• RCVT certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience required
• Scrub technologist skills including maintaining a sterile field
• Skilled in equipment set up, room circulating, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Proficient in infection control, isolation precautions, PPE, and sterile technique

Additional Information

• Short term acute care facility with 180 staffed beds
• Ceil blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and will not be reviewed if submitted later
• Facility is smoke free and requires nicotine-free status with drug screening
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical or religious exemptions only
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly once assignment is confirmed
• Returning permanent or per diem staff cannot return to the facility for 1 year from their previous end date
