Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring 2 years of PICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital
- Care for pediatric patients requiring PICU-level monitoring and intervention
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Blocked scheduling available only if willing to work all weekends
- Floating required within the hospital, including to the CICU (CVPICU) and potentially the Liberty campus
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (OH state or compact) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required with exposure to CICU
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration
- No previous license disciplinary actions permitted
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the 2-year specialty experience requirement
- Minimum 2 holidays coverage required
- All candidates must be fully vaccinated with no exceptions
- Additional background check and fingerprinting required onsite on first day of assignment; results may impact employment
- Previous CCHMC employees are ineligible to apply for a period of 1 year from their termination date
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
