Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring RRT credentials and 2+ years of experience in a Level II trauma center with NICU/Peds and adult critical care service lines.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Services department at a large hospital with 854 beds and 120 respiratory staff
- Adult, NICU, and Pediatric service lines with patient ratios of 10-25
- Uses GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Cerner EMR used
- Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Varying weekends required, at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating required to all Critical Care units and floors
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required, CRTs will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NRP certification preferred
- No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Serves a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit
- Facility includes a children's hospital with pediatric emergency room and 30 pediatric subspecialists
- Scrub color requirement is medium gray/pewter
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
