Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and EPIC EMR experience on night shift.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within an acute care hospital
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 or 48-hour schedules
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of ER experience required
• Recent experience in the ER specialty within the last 3 months required
• No prior disciplinary action on nursing license allowed

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned ER patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct various levels of nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses and develop care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Delegate duties appropriately among healthcare team members
• Holiday RTO requests will not be approved
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates are the same as travel rates
• Required to receive all applicable vaccinations as a condition of employment
