Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a day shift assignment requiring ARRT R or CCI RCIS certification.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit with diagnostic and interventional cath lab, plus EP lab work settings
- Float to cover IR and EP as needed
- 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call required, 6-8 shifts per 6 week schedule including 1 weekend on-call per schedule
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend as needed
- Holiday coverage required as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required within the last 7 years
- IR and EP experience preferred
- ARRT R or CCI RCIS certification required
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- MD license or compact license required, license required if applicable
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Prior travel assignment experience required with positive references on file
- Skilled in procedures such as cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA
- Proficiency with PACS equipment

- Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing in
- Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility
- Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Candidates must provide a driver's license matching their address to determine local status
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- First-time travelers not considered for this role
- Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Candidates in cardiac-related specialties must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
