Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week nights/rotating assignment requiring an active HI RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU/CCU unit with 4 beds/4 rooms
• Cares for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with serious surgical, respiratory, or cardiac conditions requiring specialized ICU/CCU services
• Patient ratio of 1:2 depending on acuity, with an additional nurse called in if a ventilated patient is present
• Provides after-hours PACU recovery coverage
• Must be open to work any shift with no exceptions, totaling 80 hours every 2 weeks with no exceptions
• Floats to OB, MS, PACU, and ER according to individual competency level

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Emergency room experience recommended

Additional Information

• Coordinates and provides individualized age-appropriate care within the ICU/CCU
• 12 hours of orientation covering HR, safety, risk & quality management, in-services, and IT training
• Second day of orientation focuses on EMR training
• Unit orientation includes 1-2 day shifts and 1-2 night shifts with a staff RN, along with completion of an orientation/competency binder
