Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 experienced RN for a Mother-Baby Unit position requiring NRP and BLS certifications on a night shift schedule.
Details
- Work in the Mother Baby Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact eNLC)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Level 1 experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no push starts allowed
- Onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens, must begin immediately upon engagement
- Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
