Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 experienced RN for a Mother-Baby Unit position requiring NRP and BLS certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in the Mother Baby Unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Level 1 experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no push starts allowed
• Onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens, must begin immediately upon engagement
• Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
