Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2-5 years of acute care and outpatient experience and an active NJ State License.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital PT unit performing inpatient PT evaluations and treatment
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Uses Epic for charting
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
- Required to float within skillset based on census and staffing needs
Requirements
- 2-5 years of acute care and outpatient experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Active NJ State License or Compact License required (if applicable)
- Epic charting experience required
- Wound care certification preferred
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including post-op spinal, shoulder, and joint replacement surgeries preferred
- Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation and spinal cord injury preferred
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include inpatient PT evaluation and treatment across a range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Black scrubs required
- Open to first-time travelers
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate
- Returning RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have a minimum 1-year break before being eligible for travel assignments
- Requested time off should be submitted with less than 7 days requested and no holiday time off to be prioritized
- Schedule changes are not accommodated once an offer has been accepted
