Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring ARRT-CT certification and at least 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma acute care setting.

Details

• Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
• CT Tech unit supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
• 3rd shift, 3x12-hour nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required, no on-call obligations
• No floating outside of scope required
• Uses Cerner for charting, experience preferred
• Utilizes Siemens CT equipment, experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI not accepted)
• Active Illinois state license required or must be in the application process with an ETA
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in Abdomen and Pelvis CT with and without contrast
• Proficiency in Chest CT including vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Proficiency in Head and Neck CT including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
• Proficiency in Spine and Musculoskeletal CT including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and MSK trauma
• Experience with Coronary CTA special procedures
• Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Competent in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

• Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Discuss RTO requests with the facility manager prior to assignment
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• First day of assignment is a virtual, at-home orientation requiring completion of assigned modules
• Scrubs may be any solid color
