Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring ARRT-CT certification and at least 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma acute care setting.
Details
- Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
- CT Tech unit supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
- 3rd shift, 3x12-hour nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every third weekend required, no on-call obligations
- No floating outside of scope required
- Uses Cerner for charting, experience preferred
- Utilizes Siemens CT equipment, experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI not accepted)
- Active Illinois state license required or must be in the application process with an ETA
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency in Abdomen and Pelvis CT with and without contrast
- Proficiency in Chest CT including vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
- Proficiency in Head and Neck CT including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
- Proficiency in Spine and Musculoskeletal CT including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and MSK trauma
- Experience with Coronary CTA special procedures
- Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
- Competent in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
- Discuss RTO requests with the facility manager prior to assignment
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- First day of assignment is a virtual, at-home orientation requiring completion of assigned modules
- Scrubs may be any solid color
