Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring step-down/ICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Progressive Care Stepdown Transitional unit located on the 4th floor
• Cardiac specialty unit with 22 beds
• Patient population includes cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion cases in an adult population
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses telemetry equipment
• Paragon EMR used
• Night shift schedule (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Step-down or ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac nursing care including monitoring, post-cath lab recovery, and cardioversion procedures
• Team-oriented environment requiring strong communication skills and flexibility
• Navy scrub color required
• Offensive tattoos and non-facility tops not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
