Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Assignment on a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit
- May be placed on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on skills and unit need
- 13-week contract with night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Stepdown/PCU specialty exam and skills validation required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Stepdown/PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry unit based on facility need
- Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager 45 days before the assignment end date
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that reduces pay rate depending on distance from the facility
