Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring recent Level I/II or Level III/IV ED experience and telemetry proficiency.

Details

• Adult Emergency Department in a high-volume hospital setting
• Very busy ED with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients per day
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week
• 2 weekends required in a 4-week schedule period
• Every other holiday required
• Floating required to Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for age 15+ patients in Pedi unless previous pediatric experience)
• Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
• Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
• Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• EPIC experience preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• Two professional references required, including one at the manager level with a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required

• Provide emergency care to adult patients in a high-acuity, high-volume ED environment
• Assignment requires commitment through 1/9/27
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
• 50-mile radius rule applies for local versus travel rate eligibility
