Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU night shift position requiring a PA or compact RN license and two years of ICU experience.

Details

• Community hospital ICU setting with no intermediate level of care floor
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to other units when there is no need in the ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• EPIC charting system required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
• PA fingerprint clearance (Childline and FP results within 12 months) required, which may involve travel over 100 miles
• Pass/Fail clinical exam required for clearance with a maximum of 3 attempts

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple specialties including renal, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and gastrointestinal patient populations
• Skills utilized may include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, CVVHD/CRRT, and cardiac drip titration among other critical care competencies
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no additional time off can be accommodated after submission
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
