Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic, bariatric, renal, and general surgery diagnoses, abdominal pain, and CHF exacerbations
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
• Maximum RTO of 7 days, must be submitted with application
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Shift and schedule are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
