Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring MA licensure and prior Level I-IV trauma center experience.

Details

• Adult Emergency Department setting within a very busy hospital ED with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients per day
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
• 12-hour shift D/E rotation covering 7am-7pm, 11am-11pm, or 3pm-3am, working every other weekend
• 48-hour per week schedule preferred, though 36-hour contracts will be considered
• Must be flexible to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (age 15+ unless previous pediatric experience)
• Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
• Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
• Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• Two professional references required, including one at the manager level with a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care across adult, psychiatric, and pediatric ED areas as needed
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility to qualify for the local pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
