Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the 4B Surgical unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes urology, gynecology, orthopedic, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT, and vascular cases
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
• Background in high-volume hospitals managing diverse and severe cases
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist matching the Med/Surg specialty
• Certification card and Nursys license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across a diverse surgical and medical caseload in a high-acuity trauma setting
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
