Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients of all ages.
Details
- Respiratory department serving inpatients and outpatients of all ages
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00p-7:30a
- 36 hours per week with flexibility required on scheduled days
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
- Previous RT experience and patient care experience strongly preferred
- NRP certification required at time of submission and hire
- MA license required if applicable, and may be pending at time of submission
- Previous travel experience required
Additional Information
- Reports to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders
- Performs respiratory care procedures per departmental and hospital policies
- Evaluates, treats, and reassesses patients following physician orders
- Functions independently and collaborates with physicians and nursing staff on therapeutic modalities
- Assists in orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel
- Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team
- Provides patient and family education
- Participates in CQI initiatives and departmental education activities
- Transports patients as needed
- Assists with special projects and equipment/stock inventory control
- Local candidates accepted at a discounted rate
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies
