Description
American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool RN to cover Med/Surg, Rehab, and Geri Psych units on day shift, requiring an active NH or compact RN license.
Details
- Float pool position covering Med/Surg, Rehab, and Geri Psych units
- Day shift, 7a-7p
- Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm
- Must be willing and able to float across all three assigned units
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Graduate of an approved nursing program preferred
- Dysrhythmia course completion required prior to end of orientation for telemetry-based departments
- CPI training preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation
Additional Information
- Provides professional nursing care and comprehensive clinical documentation each shift
- Communicates patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding
- Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality/performance improvement initiatives
- May serve as preceptor for new nurses and collaborate with nursing students and instructors
- Delegates aspects of care and collaborates in planning, supervising, and instructing other nursing personnel
