Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a SC or compact license for a day-shift assignment involving call rotation and a broad range of surgical specialties.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 119 staffed beds
• Operating Room unit
• 4x10hr day shift, 6:45am-5:15pm
• Weekend rotation required, typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage
• On-call required on weekdays from 3pm-7am per rotation, subject to change based on staffing needs
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed
• Epic charting system used
• Surgical scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license in hand prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 4+ years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience across gynecology, general surgery, orthopedic, neurology, trauma, podiatry, ophthalmology, and urology procedures
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System and Hana Table

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• May be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius, with non-local candidates given priority
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block schedule requests may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks based on staffing needs
