Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Health RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring 2 years of experience, prior travel assignment experience, and an active DC RN license
Details
- Occupational Health RN role based primarily at the main campus, with occasional floating to a nearby MedStar hospital
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 8-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- 2 years of recent RN experience required within the last 7 years
- At least 1 previous travel assignment required for consideration
- Strong immunization administration skills preferred
- COHN certification, Occupational Health experience, fit testing experience, phlebotomy experience, and drug testing/chain of custody experience all helpful
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
Additional Information
- Duties may include immunizations, fit testing, phlebotomy, and drug testing/chain of custody procedures
- Candidates must reside within 60 miles for local rate consideration, with driver's license matching address at time of consideration
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot be changed once profile is sent for manager review
- Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Manager interviews are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
- Facility-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
- Labs and drug screening appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
