Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of experience and current ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Surgery Recovery Room (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Day shift schedule from 08:00-17:00
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Closely monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, managing pain and nausea and identifying complications
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
• First-time travelers may be considered
