Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring critical care background and the ability to float between ICU and Telemetry.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in the Emergency Services department
• Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
• Requires floating between ICU and Telemetry units
• Involves strip interpretation and titration of drips

Requirements

• Active and valid IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in acute care/critical care hospital setting
• CCRN certification preferred
• PALS and NIHSS certifications may be required
• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention) certification required
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and oversee activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, and diagnostic results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
