Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a mobile emergency response unit, requiring dual CT/X-ray competency and ARRT (CT)(R) certification.
Details
- Mobile unit that responds to emergency field locations
- Serves patients of all age groups
- Maintains competency in a minimum of two imaging modalities (CT and X-ray)
- Uses Canon CT scanners (preferred but not required) and Epic Radiant EMR
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend included
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- On-call requirements as requested
- Float required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- ARRT (CT)(R) certification required
- Florida State DOH license required at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
- Strong communication skills for explaining exams and procedures to patients
- Proficiency with computer software and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment
Additional Information
- Communicate exams and procedures clearly to patients
- No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 8 days RTO for the 13-week contract
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- Local candidates accepted
- Unit manager conducts candidate interviews
