Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a mobile emergency response unit, requiring dual CT/X-ray competency and ARRT (CT)(R) certification.

Details

Mobile unit that responds to emergency field locations
Serves patients of all age groups
Maintains competency in a minimum of two imaging modalities (CT and X-ray)
Uses Canon CT scanners (preferred but not required) and Epic Radiant EMR
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend included
36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
On-call requirements as requested
Float required

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
ARRT (CT)(R) certification required
Florida State DOH license required at time of consideration
License required if applicable
Minimum 2 years of clinical radiology experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
Strong communication skills for explaining exams and procedures to patients
Proficiency with computer software and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment

Additional Information

Communicate exams and procedures clearly to patients
No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Maximum of 8 days RTO for the 13-week contract
50-mile radius rule applies
Local candidates accepted
Unit manager conducts candidate interviews
