Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a fast-paced ER requiring Cerner experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- 32-bed Emergency Department in a 355-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital with Level 3 NICU and multiple specialty centers
- Cares for patients of all ages, birth to death
- Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
- Uses critical care equipment and Cerner EHR
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- Rotates weekends every other week
- Call requirements may involve push-back hours depending on census
- Float requirements limited to areas of demonstrated competency
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC required, along with NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cerner EHR experience required
- Strong critical thinking, patient/family communication skills, and physical stamina for a fast-paced environment
- Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA certifications required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a broad range of diagnoses and treatments in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
- Energetic, knowledgeable team culture expected
- Scrubs of any color currently accepted; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts not permitted
- Must start on one of the facility's designated 2026 orientation dates
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
- Must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
