Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and 2 years of experience for an inpatient acute rehab unit.
Details
- Inpatient and acute care units within a rehab department
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Caseload of 6 patients per day
- Patient population includes geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases
- Must be willing to float to other units
- One weekend required per month
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy required
- 2 years of experience required, though 18 months may be considered with 1 year in specialty
- AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
- Current Alabama Physical Therapist License required if applicable
- Active state or compact license required for consideration; pending or temporary licenses not accepted
- Must be able to analyze patient data and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing, sitting, and physical exertion including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluations, developing plans of care, collaborating with patients, families, and other disciplines, performing therapeutic interventions, and completing documentation
- Local candidates accepted with no mile radius restrictions
- Physical presence onsite is required
