Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and 2 years of experience for an inpatient acute rehab unit.

Details

• Inpatient and acute care units within a rehab department
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Caseload of 6 patients per day
• Patient population includes geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases
• Must be willing to float to other units
• One weekend required per month
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy required
• 2 years of experience required, though 18 months may be considered with 1 year in specialty
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Current Alabama Physical Therapist License required if applicable
• Active state or compact license required for consideration; pending or temporary licenses not accepted
• Must be able to analyze patient data and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing, sitting, and physical exertion including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Normal or corrected vision and hearing required

• Responsibilities include evaluations, developing plans of care, collaborating with patients, families, and other disciplines, performing therapeutic interventions, and completing documentation
• Local candidates accepted with no mile radius restrictions
• Physical presence onsite is required
