Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a regional health center, requiring 1-2 years of experience and some neonatal and pediatric background.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 75-bed regional health center
• Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and cases ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice
• Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
• 10AM-10PM shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• May be required to float within a 25 mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Current RRT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• 1-2+ years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
• Iowa license must be in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
• Candidates must complete an Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions prior to start
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required prior to start
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
• Local candidates accepted; candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
