Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a regional health center, requiring 1-2 years of experience and some neonatal and pediatric background.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 75-bed regional health center
- Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and cases ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice
- Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
- 10AM-10PM shift schedule
- Every other weekend required
- May be required to float within a 25 mile radius of the facility
Requirements
- Current RRT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- 1-2+ years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
- Iowa license must be in hand at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
- Candidates must complete an Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions prior to start
- Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required prior to start
- Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
- Local candidates accepted; candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
