Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a full-time night shift assignment, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and active state licensure.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging department performing CT examinations and assisting physicians with invasive CT procedures
• Uses GE VCT and GE Revolution CT equipment
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6 AM, Monday-Thursday with no weekends
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Active ARRT(CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved school
• Registered by ARRT in radiography and CT
• 2+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred
• Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects including patients
• Ability to perform sedentary work with occasional walking or standing

Additional Information

• Perform and document diagnostic CT examinations per approved healthcare provider orders
• Administer oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction or per protocol
• Transport, move, and position patients safely
• Analyze CT examinations for quality control and prepare completed exams for radiologist interpretation
• Operate all CT and related equipment as well as facility-based computer systems
• Assist physicians with special CT procedures
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities related to CT
• Perform appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver
