Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active MI license and 2+ years of OB/GYN experience.

Details

• Work in the Family Birth Place, a Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDRP) unit serving over 500 families annually
• Perform Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Post Partum Couplet Care
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work week runs Saturday through Friday
• Every third weekend required, with holidays required if scheduled
• No regularly scheduled on-call, though voluntary time off due to low census may require on-call availability

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required and must be in-hand at time of profile upload
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active AWHONN certification
• 2+ years of OB/GYN experience required
• High proficiency in LDRP care including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Post Partum Couplet Care
• STABLE certification preferred
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
• COVID vaccine required, with exemptions allowed
• Must have a skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to OB/GYN specialty
• Must provide 2 completed supervisory reference forms within the last two years

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care throughout the maternity and delivery experience, welcoming support persons to participate
• Facility-provided scrubs required for dress code
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted and verified prior to upload
• Scheduling requests made after submission or during interview will not be approved and may result in a rescinded offer
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Must have personal vehicle for transportation to this assignment
