Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position on nightshift, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit in a Women's and Children's building with 12 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Staffed with RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
• Documentation systems used include CPN and Meditech
• Schedule includes 3 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 weekend shifts, and 1 call shift
• Travelers float first per unit policy
• Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM
• Skilled in care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care
• Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Support shared decision making as part of the patient experience approach
• Scrubs required in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray (not provided by facility)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered
