Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT CT or ARRT R certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the CT Scan department
• Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department patient populations
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Procedures include abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast, chest imaging, head and neck imaging, spine and musculoskeletal imaging, and vascular studies
• May perform aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, drainage, and vascular CTA procedures
• Uses GE and Toshiba equipment, PACS, and Fuji Synapse imaging systems
• Epic charting system used
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 11:00 AM-11:30 PM) and night shift (3x12 hours, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM) available; must be open to all shift times
• Self-scheduling based on seniority
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units required, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
• Weekend requirements may exceed standard every-other-weekend rotation based on unit needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
• BLS, ARRT CT or ARRT R, ARRT Advanced, CA CRT, and CT certifications required
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and/or administration
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging procedures across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and vascular studies
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Free parking available
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities as permanent staff, traveler, or registry/per-diem
