Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with GA or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of ED experience for a 12-hour day shift assignment.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure care required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Central line care/management skills preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Perform triage and manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with all RTO finalized at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this unit
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were previously unable to complete an assignment at a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before rebooking
• Shift and schedule as listed are firm with no alternate requests permitted
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
