Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring vent and trach experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Level IV NICU setting with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological neonatal conditions
• Supports a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center with high volume of intubated and acute infants
• Patient population includes conditions such as Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, and Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy
• Uses specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVDs, Shunts, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Oscillators, and Bili Lights
• Rotating day/night shifts, 3x12 hours, every other weekend
• Floating required within the hospital system, potentially to another campus

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU specialty required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Vent and trach experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copies of nursing certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide high acuity nursing care to neonates with complex surgical, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and neurological conditions
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
• Previous employees of this facility are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their termination date
• Additional background check and fingerprinting required onsite on first day of assignment
