Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma hospital requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Level I trauma hospital setting including adult and pediatric acute care, ED, and outpatient services
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every third weekend required (7p-7a)
• Potential to float to Bronson Advanced Radiology Services
• Uses GE and PACS equipment
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• ARRT(R) certification required, ARRT(CT) preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid Michigan license required if applicable
• Proficiency in Abdomen & Pelvis studies with and/or without contrast required, Enterography studies preferred
• Chest, Heart, and Vascular chest imaging (e.g., PE, CTA, aorta) required
• Head and Neck imaging including Carotid, Head, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, and Trauma head required
• Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging including Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic, and MSK trauma required
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) required; 3D rendering and ROI measurement preferred
• Skills in Isolation Precautions, contrast media administration, and Radiation Safety required
• Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
• Experience with Brain perfusion and Vascular CTA required
• Experience with aspirations, biopsies, colonography, Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required with consideration, exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of signing

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions for trauma and non-trauma cases
• Support Level I trauma protocols including brain perfusion and vascular CTA studies
• Travelers may be first to float based on facility need
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be available for the full orientation week
• Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous Bronson internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Supervisor-level references required for consideration
