Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NC or compact RN licensure and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit caring for laboring patients with high acuity
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required with holidays scheduled as needed
- Floating required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and may extend to any campus within the health system
- Uses Epic EMR, along with Triton and SurgiCount systems
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in labor and delivery management including vaginal and C-section deliveries, fetal monitoring, and high-risk obstetric care
- Experience with IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
- Skilled in antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care in the delivery room
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum management
- Care for patients with complex conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC management
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
- Third-party education verification required, with degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list not accepted
- No open background check cases permitted
