Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department requiring current trauma certifications and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• 24-bed Emergency Department within the main hospital building
• Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift unit clerk, and 1 EMT
• Night shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 night EMT, and 1 night charge nurse
• Patient ratios of 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge
• Uses GE monitors and Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Shift schedule is 7A-7P
• Performs procedures including port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point-of-care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKG, and Foley placement

Requirements

• Active RN license, Compact or Colorado (CO) state license required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC (PALS may substitute for ENPC)
• CPI Blue Card required
• CEN and CPEN/US IV competency preferred
• Pediatric ED experience preferred for pediatric ED assignments
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
