Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring the ability to scrub and circulate along with on-call availability.

Details

  • Pediatric OR unit within a children's hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
  • On-call requirements include nights and weekends, approximately one 12-hour on-call shift per week
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required in hand
  • Must be able to both scrub and circulate
  • Pediatric OR experience preferred
  • Level 1 trauma experience not required for this position
  • Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be accepted
  • Current Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)

Additional Information

  • Some flexibility in scheduling may be required despite requests for a blocked schedule
  • RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO during the first or last week of the contract
  • Locals accepted at the same bill rate
  • Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this role
