Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional cardiac cath experience and BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS or ARRT-R certification for a role in a fast-paced interventional cardiac cath lab.

Details

• Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Shift options include 5x8, 4x10, or 3x12 schedules, with day shift starting at 7:00 AM
• On-call requirements include 1-2 weeknight call shifts (Monday-Friday) and 3-24 hours of weekend call per month
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCI RCIS or ARRT-R certification required (license required if applicable)
• MD state license required if candidate holds ARRT certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Skills required: interventional cath procedures, cardiac stent placement, scrubbing/maintaining sterile field, right and left heart catheterization, rotablation, thrombectomy, stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and balloon angioplasty
• Preferred skills: acute monitoring, room circulator duties, ACIST, Watchman procedures, Impella insertion, and TAVR/TAVI
• Must be able to function effectively in a high-paced, efficient team environment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterization procedures, stent placements, angioplasty, and assisting with structural heart interventions such as TAVR, Watchman, and Impella insertion
• Scrubs are provided
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates must be comfortable proceeding without a guaranteed manager interview
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, and no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 60 miles of the facility
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
