Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CCU) position requiring 2+ years of acute CCU/CVSICU experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac devices.

Details

• 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU) within a large academic hospital
• Cares for patients with acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure
• High-acuity unit where nearly all patients require cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs
• Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Requires working 3 out of every 6 weekends (EOW)
• Two 12-hour on-call availability shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required to areas of similar skill set
• Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current CCU or CVSICU nursing experience required
• Hands-on experience with cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, and PA catheters required
• CRRT experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• ECMO experience preferred
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Experience in a comparable large facility (500+ beds) strongly preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity cardiac patients requiring advanced device management
• Work within a specialized cardiac ICU team supporting complex cardiac interventions
• Strong candidates only will be considered given the complexity and prestige of the unit
