Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN certification and 1+ years of experience in specialty.
Details
- Outpatient perinatal clinic setting within a float pool covering Woodbury, Edina, and Mercy clinics with minimal rotation to United and ANW clinics
- Maternal Fetal Medicine and High Risk OB patient population
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shifts, 9 shifts per two-week period, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Uses Philips EPIQ Elite and GE Voluson Expert 22 ultrasound machines
- Charting completed in Epic (Excellian)
Requirements
- ARDMS and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required; ARDMS FE preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine/Perinatal ultrasound required
- License required if applicable
- Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
- Skilled in fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, amniotic fluid index, nuchal translucency screen, umbilical cord Doppler, and multi-pregnancy scanning
- Experience with fetal Doppler studies including MCA, UAR, and DV
- Proficiency in placenta previa, vasa previa, and accreta evaluations
- Experience with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures
- Transvaginal and renal/pelvis ultrasound skills required
- Perinatal experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Perform maternal fetal medicine diagnostic studies including TTTS surveillance and fetal anomaly evaluations
- May float within scope to perinatal clinics at Woodbury, Edina, and Mercy locations, with minimal rotation to United and ANW clinics
- Grey scrub color required
- RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
- Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as a perm employee
- Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require a 100-mile radius from the facility
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
