Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role requiring cardiac experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Requires management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
• Involves monitoring for dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO state or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Cardiac experience required, including cardiac drips, cardiothoracic surgeries, chest pain management, and post cath lab interventions
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive cardiac and telemetry nursing care including monitoring, drip management, and dysrhythmia response
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Holiday rotation required with limited RTO during holidays
• Every other weekend work required
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
