Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift maternity float pool assignment requiring AWHONN Intermediate certification and Epic experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit with float assignments to both L&D and Postpartum units
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am)
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday required
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations - must be able to work all 7 days
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required (conditional/temp license accepted for submission, must apply within 48 hours of offer)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or above
- 3 years of L&D experience strongly preferred; will consider 1-2+ years with travel experience
- 1st time travelers from a teaching hospital background will be considered with required teaching hospital experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Must pass a pass/fail medication exam and pass/fail telemetry exam at orientation (single attempt, failure results in contract cancellation)
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, and antepartum/postpartum care
- Experience with fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement, and neonatal care in the delivery room
- Medication administration experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and other high-risk drips required
- Multiple study materials provided during compliance process and clinical skills validation
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- 200-mile radius rule applies for RNs
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license cannot be considered
