Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring prior travel experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• General Operating Room setting within a Trauma Level I hospital
• Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday 06:30-23:00, plus Monday 06:30-15:00 (3 shifts/week, 4x10-hour schedule)
• No on-call requirements
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• Surgical caseload includes Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology procedures
• Preferred exposure to DaVinci robotic surgery, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmology cases

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical procedures required
• Experience with DaVinci robotics, endovascular, and eye procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across multiple surgical specialties in a Trauma Level I OR
• Complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Complete onsite orientation modules (RN average 4-6 hours)
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
