Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring prior travel experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- General Operating Room setting within a Trauma Level I hospital
- Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday 06:30-23:00, plus Monday 06:30-15:00 (3 shifts/week, 4x10-hour schedule)
- No on-call requirements
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Uses Epic charting system
- Surgical caseload includes Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology procedures
- Preferred exposure to DaVinci robotic surgery, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmology cases
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level I hospital experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical procedures required
- Experience with DaVinci robotics, endovascular, and eye procedures preferred
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across multiple surgical specialties in a Trauma Level I OR
- Complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Complete onsite orientation modules (RN average 4-6 hours)
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
