Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring active state licensure and no new graduates considered.

Details

• Respiratory therapy unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:45-7:15), with manager open to 3x12 or 4x12 schedules
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• No call-in requirement
• Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• CRT or RRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must be an experienced Respiratory Therapist; new graduates not accepted
• Compact or state license in hand required upon consideration

Additional Information

• May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring the traveler to remain at the facility during an emergency event or serve as part of a relief team
• Orientation held five days a week
• First-time travelers will be considered as long as they have relevant experience
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• Prior Ochsner Health staff or in-house agency contractors must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
