Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Tele Float Pool RN for evening and every-other-weekend shifts requiring willingness to float across eight units and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering multiple Med/Surg Telemetry areas including Davenport 5, 7, 8, and 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Facility has 371 total beds with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days and evenings, up to 6:1 on nights
• Shift schedule is 11:00-23:30 with every other weekend required
• Primarily days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• EPIC EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Two professional references required for consideration
