Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry position requiring at least one year of cardiac telemetry experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Care for patients with significant cardiac disease and related conditions including chest pain, CHF, advanced heart failure, and syncope
• Support patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization, Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR procedures
• Unit may overflow to general med/surg or non-cardiac patients as needed
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• Priority floating to one of five acute care med/surg units typically staffed at 5:1 ratios

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Current ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Assist with stabilizing staffing on a cardiovascular telemetry unit undergoing staffing rebuild
• May be asked to help precept newly hired RNs, including RN Residents
• Cardiac-trained candidates with a willingness to mentor others are preferred
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule, which varies by location
• First-time travelers may be considered
