Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU experience along with Epic proficiency.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care unit with 16 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric patients ages 6 months and up
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• 3x12 day shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 1 per month (Saturday and Sunday)
• On-call requirements as needed, maximum 1 per week for 12 hours
• Float to sister units for helping hands and to on-campus surgery center as case volume shifts
• No holiday requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license, VA State or Compact
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and NIHSS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
• 2+ years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred experience includes IV access, critical care level, and Level 2 Trauma
• US SSN required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU settings
• Navy scrub color required per facility dress code policy
• Must reside outside a 65-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
